Reviewing The Royal by Rex Resort : St Lucia

The Royal is truly a beautiful hotel, it is located on a private beach and is situated about 5 minutes walk from the major shopping centers, bars, restaurants and malls in Rodney Bay. The Staff are extremely warm and friendly and always willing to assist you, and are well knowledgeable about the hotel and St Lucia.

Our room was a Standard Luxury room with a king bed, en-suite bathroom with a rain / jet shower and bathtub. There was also a small living room that led onto a porch. The room is equipped with a flat screen TV with cable, mini refrigerator, coffee maker, an assortment of coffees and teas, safe, iron and ironing board, hair dyer and a lit magnifying mirror in the bathroom. • Great features such as ; rain shower and a day bed in the living area.

• Bathrobes and slippers (Big deal, some hotels do not offer bathrobes or slippers)

• Affordable

Cons

• Minor problems with some fixtures, the bathtub particularly, it was difficult to let out the water and we had to call the plumber to fix it. On the upside it was fixed in no time.

• The offerings at the bar were not extensive, mostly white rum available. So if you're big on drinking, choose somewhere else.
